The Story Behind VITA

VITA stands for "Life" in Italian, which is what our restaurant values the most. We source most of our ingredients from Cal Poly Pomona farms as well as other local farms because we believe in supporting small businesses and reducing our carbon footprint.

VITA is a place where people from all over the world, from all backgrounds and colors, can gather together and share their love for unforgettable experiences, modern yet classic ambiance, and simply good food.

The lines that surround the VITA logo represent freshly made spaghetti, which signifies the authenticity of our Italian food. The circle shape of the logo represents life (VITA) and our desire to be inclusive and welcoming to all things that this world has to offer.

Our farm-to-table philosophy is more than just a dining concept — it’s a commitment to authenticity, sustainability, and community. We believe that the best flavors come from nature itself, which is why we carefully source our ingredients from trusted local farms and artisans who share our passion for quality. Each vegetable, herb, and cut of meat is chosen for its freshness and seasonal character, allowing our chefs to craft dishes that highlight the natural beauty of California’s local bounty.

By working closely with regional growers, we minimize our environmental footprint while strengthening our connection with the community that surrounds us. This partnership not only ensures that every plate reflects the highest standard of taste and nutrition but also supports a more sustainable and responsible food system. From our handmade pastas to our vibrant salads and signature entrees, every dish at VITA tells a story — one that honors the land, the people who cultivate it, and the timeless artistry of Italian cuisine brought to life with a modern Californian touch.
